Ellen Eccles Here We Come....

I got an email from one of Kiley's dance instructors today.  They want her to be apart of their Jr. Troupe.  They picked the best 6 dancers that were under the age of 14 and are learning hard shoe dances.  Kiley told me yesterday after class that they had asked her.  She is so excited!  This means that she will be performing in the Wicked Jig in October at the Ellen Eccles Theater!  Cordell went and saw the performance they did last year.  He said it was awesome!  That is how we found out about the Irish dance academy here and signed Kiley and Connor up for it.  Kiley will also be doing more performances whenever a group calls and asks for them to perform.  Her instructor said they take the Sr. and Jr. Troupes to perform.  Her first one will be on June 17th in Wellsville.  Everybody needs to mark their calendars for October 26!  See you there!

Best day ever!!

Isaac and I (kiley) went to the aquatic center today. It was really fun. 3 of my friends did a flip into the water. It was 8 feet deep. Isaac played with Gabe. ( Isis's brother) . i went off of the steep slide. My friend and I jumped off of the high diving board. It was 13 feet deep. At school I got a certificate for participating in the 4th grade science fair. My 2nd grade friend won the science fair. Also at dance I got asked to preform at The Wicked Jig. I will be in the junior group. That is how my day went.

Boy's camp out with no girls

Me Connor wrote this. The ward went camping. I didn't very much play video games!! It was pawsome!!  I had so much fun playing catch and I woke dad up 2 times sleeping.  I was covered with 5 blankets.  I bet the other campers were cold in their tents when it was raining.  We were sleeping in the truck.

Cute skirt!

I found this cute skirt on Pinerest and decided to try and make it for Kiley.  I took a pair of her jeans that had holes in the knees, but still fit her in the waist.  I cut the legs off and washed them.  I found a dress at Walmart for only $6.  I took the bodice off and pinned the skirt to the cut off jeans.  Here are a couple of pictures of her in her cute new skirt.

Girls Night!

Last night was our ward's father son campout.  Cordell took the boys to the campout, so Kiley and I got to enjoy a much needed girls night.  We went and saw The Croods.  It was such a cute movie!  I'm glad Kiley picked that one to go to.  After that we did a little shopping (a girls night wouldn't be complete without a little shopping).  We got some dinner and then went home to eat and do each others nails.  It was a lot of fun!  We bought some bright orange nail polish to go with the bright green she bought me for Mother's Day.  She painted my toes and I did her fingers.  We did green with orange stripes.  Today she has a dance workshop with a world champion Irish dancer.  She is so excited about it!  Of course we had to do her nails to match her school colors and Ireland!  It was a great night!  I love the time I got to spend with her.  I hope the men in my life didn't drown! It rained all night!  It is almost 9 am and they still aren't home! I thought they would have been home a lot earlier!  I hope they had fun!

Best two days!

TheseThe last two days have been great!  I have the best husband and kids!  For Mother's Day I came home from work and had flowers (real and candy), some fingernail polish and a couple of cards from my kids, waiting for me.  It was so sweet.  I went to bed and crashed hard. Kiley came in at 6pm and asked if I would like to come eat dinner with them.  They let me sleep all day! I said of course I would come eat dinner with them.  Cordell fixed me a fillet minion and a grilled cheese sandwich (I know, a weird combination, but it was delicious!).  Today when I got home from work, there was a Happy Birthday banner hanging of the wall.  The kids all wished me a happy birthday when I walked in the door.  I took the kids to school and went home and crashed again (it was so busy at work the last couple of days).  I got up and Cordell and the kids sang Happy Birthday to me, I blew out the candles (thankfully he didn't put all 36 candles on the cake! We would have started a small fire in the kitchen ;) ).  I opened all the wonderful cards from my family.  Connor gave me a cute pencil with a turtle on the eraser (he was cute when I opened it. He said it was his, but he thought I would like it).  I loved it!  Cordell gave me his present.  It is the most beautiful necklace!  I love it!  I will always wear it (thank you Cordell! It is so beautiful!  You blew me away with it!). I then got to eat my favorite dinner from Olive Garden.  I also got to talk to my mom, grandparents, and brother!  They all called to wish me a happy birthday.  I don't get to talk to them very often.  It was great to hear from all of them!,I love my husband and kids! They are the best!

These are my Mother's Day gifts I came home to.

This is the poster they made me at work.

Mystery Solved

We finally figured out the mystery of Connor's eye swelling from a couple of weeks ago. We started him on another round of antibiotics yesterday for his lip. He has had 3 doses of it, and tonight he came downstairs and his eye was itchy and swollen, just like before. He had been on the antibiotic for 8 days before it happened. This time it only took 1 day, and he is on Zyrtec already! Not good. Anyway, he is allergic to Keflex now.

Dishes

Connor used to be excited to help around the house. Tonight I asked him to do the dishes. All he has to do is unload the dishwasher and then load it with the dinner dishes. He has a grand total of about 10 dishes to load. All of a sudden his head hurts and he is too tired to do the dishes. Here is a picture of him doing the dishes ;)

In between semester break

We decided to take a trip to Salt Lake and stay the night at our favorite hotel. Cordell booked a room, then we got the kids from school. When we got home we told them to pack for one night and to include their swimming suits. They guessed right away that we were going to Salt Lake and staying at Little America. They were so excited! We got down there and checked in and decided to go to dinner. Chuck-O-Rama is one of our favorite places to eat (the kids love it), so we decided to go there. We forgot that the U had their graduation that day. Chuck-O-Rama was packed! It was going to be a long wait, so we bagged that and went to Sizzler. It was ok. After we got done eating we went back to the room and the kids were begging to go swimming. So we got in our suits and went and enjoyed the pool. Cordell stayed in the room to try to relax, and get a little studying before classes start again on Monday. The kids and I swam for almost 2 hours. We played tag for awhile and swam around. There were some floaty balls that somebody left, so we decided to play monkey in the middle, then we hit the ball back and forth. It was a lot of fun! The kids had a blast! We were exhausted by the time we got back up to our room. Hopefully it gave Cordell the reboot he needed before he starts his 2 classes that are 4 weeks each (ugh, good luck). Kiley said it was the best day ever! I love hearing that! We have awesome kids!

Isaac and Kiley Orchestra Concert

Last night Isaac and Kiley had their end of the year orchestra concert.  They did a great job.  Bridger Elementary was combined with Wilson and Woodruff elementary schools.  For the final song the elementary schools played along with MLMS 6th grade, LHS Concert and Philharmonic Orchestras.  They played Lord of the Rings for the final song.  It was amazing!  You can't see Isaac or Kiley very well in the video.  They had the elementary schools in the back.  While you watch the video you can play Where's Kiley (I couldn't see Isaac at all).  I hope you enjoy the music.  The video is 15 min, but it is worth watching the whole thing.  All the kids are great!  It's amazing how much they learn in one or two years of orchestra!
